Customer Reviews
"Received in the morning, worn in the afternoon.
The low center of gravity is the main reason I chose the Vapor Pro.
The fit is slightly more accommodating for wide feet and high arches compared to the first generation from a couple of years ago.
It seems the material has been upgraded, with more use of thermoplastic mesh. The shoe's upper provides a more tensioned fit.
The midsole remains thin and slightly stiff, but it offers quicker starts without any lag, providing strong court feel.
The downside is that for those with slimmer feet and thinner ankles, the forefoot and heel feel disconnected, and the sides of the ankles feel quite empty. The solution is to tighten all the lacing holes, which helps but sacrifices some ankle flexibility and puts more pressure on the calves.
In terms of style, it's average—the black version probably looks better.
Overall, it's a great value. Although it's a tennis shoe, it feels versatile enough for various sports, except for long-distance running. It has strong cross-training attributes.
It's worth writing so much about—a shoe that reflects my love for tennis [dog face_blue]."
lg...MoreHere's my 10th pair of tennis shoes, and I want to share my experience to help you avoid some pitfalls. I've been wanting to buy this particular model for a while, but my size was always out of stock. Finally, when Nike released the retro version, I managed to get my hands on a pair.
The shoes I got are the Nike Vapor Pro. Here's my take on the fit:
- The shoes provide excellent support and a snug fit, but they are slightly narrow, which might be uncomfortable for those with wider feet. Compared to the Vapor 11, these are lighter, making them feel more agile during movement.
- The grip is fantastic; they allow for quick stops without slipping.
- Overall, they're great, but when bending too much, the outer edge of the sole can pinch a bit, which might not be ideal for side slides.
If you have wider feet, you might want to think twice before getting these.
