These Penny sneakers are really cool, both then and now. The design is so cutting-edge. You can just put them on without worrying about oxidation or aging. This retro version also has a lower ankle collar and a wider fit. Maybe it's to accommodate more foot shapes. For someone like me with a narrower foot, the shoes feel a bit too big, and with the lower ankle collar, there's a real sense of the shoes slipping off. Even though they don't actually slip off, there's always that worry. To keep your feet securely in place, you have to lace them up properly and tie them well.
